WBRH/KBRH Spring Jazzathon begins February 23, 2013 and runs through March 3, 2013.  This effort is not only necessary to fund day-to-day operation of the radio stations but to help finance the cost of moving the station back to the brand new facilities at BRMH.  Please help us and our students in this effort.

BRMHS is one of the few high schools nationwide to offer two radio stations on campus. Baton Rouge High publicly broadcasts jazz on WBRH 90.3 FM, which serves the Baton Rouge area. In 1997, KBRH 1260 AM, a sister AM station, was added. KBRH specializes in classic R&B and local music. Both stations are run by students and have been student operated since 1977.

WBRH and KBRH are non-profit radio stations that are run from the financial support of the listening community and people who send in donations to support it. Although the station is a low budget non-profit radio station, it takes over $80,000 per year to keep it operating.  Financial donations during the Fall and Spring fund-raising marathons, Jazz-A-Thon, are appreciated and needed. Donating during Jazz-a-thon is a great way to let the station management know which programs you appreciate and support.
