Library Mission

The mission of the BRMHS Library Program is to support the curriculum of BRMHS with a variety of appropriate information sources to promote reading for pleasure, and to ensure that all students, teachers, and staff are effective users of ideas and information.

Library Media Procedures

Students who need to use the library for classwork or who simply want to read or study in quiet surroundings may come to the library before school, during lunch, class, or after school. Teachers bring classes in for instruction and research activities.

The Library is open every school day from 6:30 A.M. until 2:45 P.M. Students must have a valid ID in order to check out materials.  There is no limit to the number of items one may borrow from the library. Books, paperbacks and older magazines are loaned for two weeks at a time. Videos for 2 days. Reference books and reserve materials may be checked out for overnight. Audio-Visual equipment circulates on an as-needed basis.

The BRMHS library is fully automated. There are 17 networked computers in the library and 28 networked computers in the adjacent lab, laser printers, scanners, digital cameras, laptops, etc., ready for use. We have approximatley 12,000 books in our collection.

Computer use is a privilege. The computers may ONLY be used for school related work. The EBRP School Board does not allow email, games, purchasing of products/services, or "chat" on school computers. All students must abide by the Computer Usage Policy included in the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook. Failure to do so will result in a loss of computer privileges.
