    By the end of French I, students should be able to describe themselves and their world through an extended dialog and a written composition.

    Students follow the book titled Discovering French Nouveau Bleu. During the fall semester, students complete Units 1 - 4 and in the spring semester, students complete Units 5 -8.

    January:

    Students will be able to travel around a French speaking city and will be able to describe where they live (city & home) to a French speaking person. Unit 5 grades are composed of the following:

    Three (3) lesson quizzes 50 points each; Five (5) homework/classwork assignments 20 points each (Monument brochure, Scavenger Hunt, Skit, Dream home blueprint, Film response); Two (2) drills 15 points each; One (1) writing sample 50 points; Daily Participation 70 points total; Unit 5 test 150 points.
